1 December 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall.” Psalms‬ ‭18‬:‭28‬-‭29‬ ‭NIV. Apostle Paul taught the Church that despite today we do not have a physical temple but our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and we are chosen by God to be His generation, royal priesthood and holy nation. 1 Peter 2:9. Prayer is not a ritual nor worship is just a choir. They are spiritual weapons of warfare. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭3‬-‭5.

In Israel, the people of God seek His light and we are called into the Kingdom of light. Colossians 1:12 Worship lights up the lamp of the Menorah and Prayer partakes the Bread of His presence. We are the carriers of His presence day and night like the priests who shoulders the Ark of the covenant. 1 Chronicles 15:15. Turn our eyes not on the problems or crisis but turn them to the giver of light, wisdom and strength. Sin, satan and darkness has to flee in the glorious presence of God. Prayer is literally lighting up our Spirit with the Fire of God. Matthew 3:11. We must change our attitude and understanding of the power of prayer. The deep is not just calling from just a hunger to pray but a desperation to encounter God like the woman with issues of blood and the Zacchaeus who find all ways to have Jesus. God’s Kingdom must move from Word to Power. 1 Corinthians 4:20. Glory to God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, I am desperate for you not just know your word but to encounter your power. Enlarge my tent, lengthen my cords, and deepen my pegs that I may encounter your fullness in the supernatural. Let my prayers be your utterance in the Spirit, pulling down all strongholds, casting out all evil darkness and demolishing all infirmities, illness, sickness and diseases. Let your light shine into my prayer closet and immerse me into your glorious presence, in Jesus Name, Amen.
