14 August 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Better a little with the fear of the Lord than great wealth with turmoil. Better a small serving of vegetables with love than a fattened calf with hatred.” Proverbs‬ ‭15‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ Today after the difficult period of the pandemic, we see people taking revenge on tourism, all striving to get back in making back all they have lost, and having left Egypt but still having Egypt within. What did we learn from the Pandemic? Life is fragile, temporal, and unpredictable. Wealth, fame, power can never take us to heaven. Only Jesus Christ who is the way, truth and life. John 14:6.

Stress is a silent, sudden and deadly killer. We have to learn to discern stress. In the healing ministry we have ministered to many cancer survivors who told us they didn’t deal with their stress, oppression, and bitterness timely and thought they could handle all things by their own strength and capability. The Holy Spirit gives us discernment to uproot, pull down, destroy, and overthrow all roots of stress before we can truly build and plant health and wellness. Jeremiah 1:10. For unless the Lord builds, we labor in vain. Stress arises when we don’t put God first and His presence as our priority. Time to come back to the House of God. It’s the joy of God’s presence and peace that will crush all stress beneath His feet. Godliness with contentment is great gain. Glory to God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, let me seek ye first your Kingdom and righteousness. Let there be one thing that I seek is to dwell in your House forever. Let me not hold the things of the world so tightly but to hold tightly unto you. I believe I am too blessed to be stressed in your presence and I proclaim and decree, to put off the old man of stress and heaviness, and put on the New Man of freedom and joy in Christ, to be a New Creation, in Jesus' Name, Amen
