Today‘s Inspiration: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” II Timothy 1:7 NKJV. The greatest stronghold in life and the past is fear and it has a gripping, freezing, and crippling effect on one’s soul. Healing comes when the power of God breaks through the power of the past. We cannot change the facts of hurts, wounds, and abuses which cause fear but we can our respond to them by the Word of God.
Fear causes us to trust our feelings, emotions and thoughts which can be toxic and relative to our past. But Faith cause us to trust in the Word of God in prayer and healing. Fear makes us a slave to our past but Faith makes us a son to our Abba Father God through Christ. He says,”Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”Isaiah 41:10 NKJV Our identity is not defined by our past but is defined by the Word of God in Christlikeness. His perfect love for us always cast out all fears. 1 John 4:18.
Prayer: O Lord my God, greater is you in me than my past and my fears. We choose to put our faith in your divine word and promises over our pain and past. Bring healing, deliverance and restoration into my soul and make it new. For in Christ I am a new creation. The old has passed away, and the new has come, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
