17 September 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: “Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city.” Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭32‬ ‭NIV‬‬. When we face situations we can’t control or crisis we can’t handle, times can be fearful, doubtful, and unfruitful. How do you handle quarrels, disputes and arguments with no closures? How do you handle when our reactions just ignites to the smallest details? How do we handle bad news?

Toxic emotions can cause a ruckus in our lives, thoughts, communication, and relationships. It is the battlefield of the mind. Prayer in the Spirit helps to turn our physical eyes into spiritual ones, by turning from the world into the word of God. 1 Corinthians 4:14. Many don’t realised that the product of effective prayer is patient and power to calm our rousing emotions, by casting our cares to the Lord. 1 Peter 5:7. Wisdom of God comes with patient in trusting God’s time and terms. When our will is aligned to His will, we will have absolute peace, comfort and security in our mind and heart. Philippians 4:8. May the Lord’s peace be with us.

Prayer: O Lord my God, who is like you and there is none like you, who holds my life in the palm of your hands on earth as it is in heavens. Give us your word daily and your Holy Spirit to be still, calm and having self control in difficult situations. I shall trust you with all of my heart and lean not on my own understanding. Lead me to be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger, as I commit to you all my ways as you straighten my path, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
