Today’s Inspiration: “A bruised reed He will not break, And smoking flax He will not quench; He will bring forth justice for truth. He will not fail nor be discouraged, Till He has established justice in the earth; And the coastlands shall wait for His law.” Isaiah 42:3-4 NKJV. God is mindful of weak, the sick, and the broken, with our Lord making intercession for us. Hebrews 7:25. Spiritual maturity comes from our spiritual vulnerability towards God. Life is not a bed of roses, and ironically it is through dark and difficult times that we truly encounter the light of Christ.

If God so loved us, why must there be sufferings? Isn’t believing in Christ, all things are going to be wonderful? Why bad things happened to good people? We need to understand we are living in a fallen world, and with an adversary that wants to see us destroyed. God’s grace is a deep revelation to the sinners, the sick, and those who are suffering. Many Christians today had forgotten we too are sinners saved by grace, for the wages of our sin is death and Christ died for us so that we are redeemed at the highest cost to God. Romans 6:23. The world boast of its strength but a true believer boast of our weakness, for when we are weak, Christ is strong in us and our dependency is upon His grace and mercy. May all seek comfort in Jesus.
