Today‘s Inspiration: “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” Joshua 1:8 NIV. Meditation on the Word of God changes not only our vision but also our thoughts, emotions, words, and actions. We mustn’t be just hearers of the Word but doers of the Word or we can be easily deceived. James 1:22. Are we doing Kingdom work or busy with our own business?
Remember Moses was so caught up by his problems and past that He lost his identity, purpose and direction until the Lord drew him to the burning bush. He has to lay down the crown of the Prince of Egypt in order to be the Deliverer of the Israelites. God is more patient than all to wait till Moses turned 80 years old before using him to break the chains of his people from slavery and bring them to the promised land. Why? Our Lord knows the time, seasons and conditions of our heart. Finding God’s calling, election and purpose in our lives gives us the greatest joy, peace and fulfilment. Moses wasn’t perfect when he served the Lord but God was the author and finisher of his faith. So can you and me.
Prayer: O Lord my God, let I not focus on the things of the world which will fade away but on the kingdom of God which will last forever. Lead me with your Word which shall be the lamp to my feet and light to my path. Let every fibre of my life be for Christ and let all things that I do be for the glory of the kingdom of God, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
