Today‘s Inspiration: “If indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind.”Ephesians 4:21-23 NKJV. Why is it so difficult to change one’s attitude, behaviour and character? The old man actually represents our old sinful behaviour, reactions and inner child of our past. In fact the older we are, the less susceptible we are to changes mentally, emotionally, physically and even spiritually.
The old man can only be put off by Christ in healing our past wounds, pains, and hurts. Most of our childish reaction is due to our childhood abuses and afflictions. But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:4-7 NKJV Glory to God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, fill and lead me with your Holy Spirit in bringing healing, restoration and reconciliation to my unrevealed past, unhealed wounds and unresolved conflicts. Teach me how to put on Christ, the full amour of God for a renewed mind and regenerated heart, in Jesus Name, Amen!
