21 September 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans‬ ‭15:13‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ We need to put on our full amour of God daily so that we be filled with the Holy Spirit, and be led by Him. Complacency, conceitedness and callousness are the works of the flesh and the devil. Most people after receiving Christ seeks the baptism of the Holy Spirit but after the baptism for years serving in ministry begin to run dry, weary and burnt out. Why? We have gotten busy with the work rather than the word of God. Luke 10:42. We may easily neglect the filling up by Holy Spirit daily in God’s rest, just like not drinking enough of water and resting, our body’s resistance and organs begin to weaken despite being able to function.

To be filled with the Holy Spirit requires Consistency in our daily lives. Today the challenge within the body of Christ is the consistency in building our spiritual life in the Word, Worship and Prayer, like the lamb who hears the voice of the Shepherd daily. John 10:35. Remember the church is not just active on Sunday but on the remaining 6 days as well. God desires us not just to function but to thrive, to nourish and to preserve the body as the temple of the Holy Spirit for longevity in family, work, ministry and succession. God’s spirit of grace brings hope into our minds and hearts daily with His Word. Hope comes from our expectations from the Lord in Prayer. This is a season of new expectations at the Altar. The woman with the issue of blood has divine expectations, so is Bartimeus, the man at the beautiful gate, the Centurion, the Canaanite woman and so many others in the gospel of supernatural expectations. Holy Spirit is able to led us from the natural sight into God’s supernatural providence and manifestations. Only Believe, Jesus says.

Prayer: O Lord my God, I believe your Holy Spirit is manifesting new hope, grace and providence in my spirit, soul, and body. I believe You are greater than all my challenges, infirmities and problems. My eyes are on your Word for they bring daily supernatural breakthroughs in my life which You have set apart in your daily bread. May I obey the voice of your Holy Spirit daily, and lead me in your everlasting ways, bringing salvation to the lost, healing to the sick and providence to the needy, in Jesus' Name I proclaim, Amen.
