22 November 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: “Blessed is the one who always trembles before God, but whoever hardens their heart falls into trouble.”Proverbs‬ ‭28‬:‭14‬ ‭NIV‬‬. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of godly wisdom, knowledge and understanding, which is humility, whose attributes bring riches, honour and life. Proverbs 22:4. Abuses, generational iniquities, and family dysfunctions can hardened our hearts to be bitter, angry, and resentful. Heart sins will always cause one to focus on self rather than God. It’s like Adam who hides himself with Eve when they disobeyed God’s commands.

A hidden heart is a hardened heart. It numbs our conscience and disconnects our sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. God desires us not to hide but to be humble in trusting Him with honest confession. In life, love can only increase if there is forgiveness. One day in prayer, I saw angels carrying new hearts in their hands and I remembered Ezekiel’s prophecy: “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.”Ezekiel‬ ‭36‬:‭26‬-‭27‬ ‭NIV‬‬ Repentance brings revivals in homes and families.

Prayer: O Lord my God, heal me of the hardness in my heart and give me clean hands and a pure heart which seeks your face and follow your Word. In your presence, there is liberty, hope and fullness of joy, for who Christ sets free is free indeed. Fill me with your Holy Spirit like river of peace, whose overflowing stream brings wealth of the Nations, in Jesus Name, Amen.
