27 December 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, Than to divide the spoil with the proud. He who heeds the word wisely will find good, And whoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he.” Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. Intimacy with the Lord produces trust in prayers, petitions, and thanksgiving in our hearts. Riches can bring pride in our hearts on self dependency than on God, which is the deception of the devil and the flesh. Many today cannot trust God because of the lack of intimacy with their parents since childhood.

This also causes the lack of trust with spouse, children and others. Without love, there is no intimacy and trust, which are the foundations of our salvation through Christ who reconcile us with God through the Cross, His stripes and His Spirit, who gives us love, power and sound mind to trust God. 2 Timothy 1:7. God desire us to heal us of trust as the Psalmist says,”Yet you brought me out of the womb; you made me trust in you, even at my mother’s breast. From birth I was cast on you; from my mother’s womb you have been my God. Psalms‬ ‭22‬:‭9‬-‭10.‬ So draw close to God, and He will draw close to you. Those who trust in the Lord will not be put to shame. Romans 10:11.

Prayer: O Lord my God, draw me close to you as I find my divine rest in you to trust you for my future, my life, and my family. There is no one who loves me more than you do, Lord Jesus. For in you, I find strength, wisdom, and joy to overcome all the challenges of life. Teach me to build trust with God and others that will blossom lasting relationships and true meaning of life purpose, fulfilment and the joy of my salvation, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
