27 July 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Your descendants would have been like the sand, your children like its numberless grains; their name would never be blotted out nor destroyed from before me.” Isaiah‬ ‭48‬:‭19‬. The spiritual battle that the kingdom of God is battling the Seed, our children and theirs to come. Matthew 13:38. The enemy come to steal, kill and destroy not just our lives but also our offsprings. That was the first lie which brought death into humanity. But Christ came to destroy the works of the enemy in giving us an abundant life of righteousness, holiness, justice and truth through salvation, sanctification and service. 1 John 3:8.

Why do we see global abortion, lgbt movements, children trafficking, teenage drugs, murder and suicides so rampant?

The world is in a desperate need of the gospel and salvation of young souls, even in the mother’s womb. The greatest inheritance to our children are not assets or things of the world but the Word of God and the Fear of God in His Kingdom. So that our descendants can inherit the promises of God and walk in Spirit of His ways. Wisdom spoke,” Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs‬ ‭22‬:‭6‬. Last Sunday I shared about sibling rivalry in families is because there was no impartation of God’s Word, Wisdom and Worship to Cain and Abel. Do not be too busy with the World that we neglect the impartation and nurturing of our children with the gospel.

Prayer: O Lord my God, thank you for opening up my eyes and reminder in my heart to not neglect our descendants because of our personal pursuits. Guide us to walk with Christ that we can be a witness to our children as a testimony for God. Let your presence always be so evident in our conversations and impartation of your commandments and wisdom for all our seeds, for they shall be fruitful and multiply in Jesus‘ Name, Amen.
