Today‘s Inspiration: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV. The Lord was instructing Moses for Joshua to cross over into the promised land. They faced seven nations much larger than them and their tribes were struggling to be united as one. They were both fighting an external formidable enemy and an internal heart turmoil coming out from Egypt. Nevertheless, we know it’s is a spiritual warfare.
God knew their rebellious hearts in the days to come and led Moses to instruct them,”Take this Book of the Law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God. There it will remain as a witness against you.”Deuteronomy 31:26 The Torah wasn’t just being placed into Ark but spiritually it speak about a generation which will not only be filled and led by the presence of God externally but be grounded in the word of God internally. Without repentance, there is no restitution, change and transformation. Spiritual warfare is won by spiritual maturity, integrity and growth.
Prayer: O Lord my God, open my eyes to your Word in your presence and rend my heart with the fear of the Lord. Take every thought of mine captive into Christ, who is the wisdom and knowledge of God, to lead me and guide me in crossing over into the promised land. Let thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. May the Lord always go before and lead me with your grace, glory and goodness, for obedience is better than sacrifice, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
