Today’s Inspiration: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 7:21. Christianity is not a religion or idolatry worship in just getting what we want or desire transactionally.
Do we come to church for God’s handouts in healing, blessings and provisions or do we come to build a strong and intimate relationship with God and others in the body of Christ to fellowship in the spirit?
Jesus taught,” Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!” Matthew 7:22-23. Like a father, you can provide the family with food, education, and all the stuff your home needs but not a relationship with the children or spouse. I have seen even in body of Christ that the children knew their father as a pastor but not as their dad. It is a tragedy. Never neglect time to build strong relationships with our spouse and children, just as we don’t forsake our time with God in prayer, worship, and devotions as priority. “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” Galatians 6:10.
Prayer: O Lord my God, let I not look to the things of the world but of the Kingdom of God. For I desire your face and not your hands, your presence and not your presents. Guide me Holy Spirit to seek ye first the kingdom of God and your righteousness, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
