Today’s Inspiration: “Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.” Psalm 37:3-6.
Relationships are determined by the level of commitment. We can’t say we have a relationship with Jesus without commitment, neither to a marriage, parenting or ministry. The level of commitment of the disciples with Jesus reflected their life long relationship with Christ and His Calling. Jesus taught,” “But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:20-21. Most people seek riches rather than relationships, so let’s be wise to take heed of Jesus’s teachings. Build strong relationships. Forgiveness helps us to deepen our relationships, for reconciliation reveals the image of Christ. Whatever offences, make peace and be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger. James 1:19. For the peacemakers are the children of God. Forgiveness releases new blessings.
Prayer: O Lord my God, lead me away from temptations and distractions. You are my treasure and my reward. In you I trust with all of my heart. Direct my steps as I deepen my commitments to your Word, which holds everlasting life, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
