Today‘s Inspiration: ”Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.“ Matthew 5:6 NIV. What we are hungry for, we shall be filled by it. It’s a divine creation by God for moving us from within. It is physical hunger that we seek to work for food to survive. Many today are hungry for finances, success, relationships or other pursuits but who can fill the hunger of our souls? How many are hungry for God? When one loses the hunger for God, the spiritual eyes begin to close and we let the hunger of the flesh, world and enemy take over. That’s when we see backsliding, addictions, indifference and ungodly attitudes, behaviours and character manifests in emptiness, depravity, and apostasy.
Jesus taught,”What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?”Matthew 16:26 When we are not hungry for God, we put second things first, which is idolatry. We no longer pray but crave for the world and choose to follow our own plans rather than God’s best plans for us in His Kingdom. That’s when we lose priority, focus and direction. Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. John 6:35 The greatest soul need is love, faith and hope. God has created us to be filled by His glory, grace, and goodness. Remember this, when we put God first in all things, He has His Blessed Best for us. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, quicken my Spirit this day in 2024 that my spiritual eyes be open to your plans, will, and purpose by your Holy Spirit. Lead me into your unexpected breakthroughs, holy ambition, divine blessings, and be a fruitful bough. I am too blessed to be stressed for my path shall be ordained, set apart, and directed by your glory and presence. Who is like you, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like you, majestic in holiness, awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders? You are the vine and I am the branch, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
