The Fruitfulness

Updated: Oct 30, 2022

“… praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” Acts‬ ‭2:47‬ ‭NIV

Fruitfulness of the world and the kingdom is different. Fruitfulness of the world is measured by the amount of wealth, things, people and money that you have externally, but the Kingdom of God is measured by the fruit of the Spirit, which are our inward attitudes, behaviour, and character. Galatians 5:22-33. Therefore, it’s not just the numbers but more intentionally the salvation and sanctification of souls, through discipleship.

Fruitfulness can only be bore through radical and intentional discipleship. Our character can only be changed when we are subjected to correction and improvements. Without humility, there is no fear of the Lord. Proverbs 22:4. And when there is no fear of the Lord, there is no wisdom, knowledge and understanding of God. Proverbs 9:10. God measure fruitfulness through the relationship we build with Him, self and others. In judgement day, we will be judged not based on how big or how rich we are but how obedient we are to God’s commands, statutes and instruction in His Word. 1 Samuel 15:22. Fruitfulness in the Kingdom is determined through producing disciples of Jesus Christ.

In the movement of the Pentecost, apostles were making disciples and the favour of God and praises of God saturate the homes, and families. We have to build strong families through discipleship like the first day Church. Fruitfulness always begins at home personally, intimately, and intrinsically through prayer and building our relationship with God and others. This is true fruitfulness. A selfless, loving, generous, compassionate and relational life like Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.

To God be the glory!

"By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see." Acts‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭NIV‬‬
